Gmail New Feature – Recover Your Password using Mobile SMS

It usually happens to most of us that we forget our email passwords once in a while and use the email password recovery option to get the password in email to a secondary email account. Now, as always, Gmail strikes with a new feature by adding your mobile number to Gmail account, so next time you forgot your Gmail password you can ask Gmail to text you a recovery code as SMS.

The main advantage of Recover Your Gmail Password using Mobile SMS is that you need not have to check your secondary email and wait to get the password recovery code. Also this is the safest option as sometimes you may not be using the secondary email (it happens to most of Gmail addicts!).

How to turn on the new Gmail password recovery feature?

Just login to your Gmail Account, select ‘Change Password Recovery Options,’ and enter your mobile phone number and click ‘Save.’ And next time you forget your password, enter your username on password assistance page and Google will send you a text message to your mobile number with the recovery code.

It’s so simple! So login to your Gmail and add you cell phone number now!
